Nexus 9 - Google Store - Nexus, Chromecast...

Why Nexus 9 Is Better Than Its Predecessors and Rivals

Tablets are all about convenience, entertainment, and portability, it is easier to carry it around, and it does more than your Smartphone. However, with the latest release of Google Nexus 9 there is more than what you are looking for. The manufacturers claim that this tablet is more of a productivity device rather than just another tablet for technology users.
About Nexus 9
The Google Nexus 9 is built by HTC with a display of 4:3 and probably the first of its kind to sport a 64-bit processor, Nvidia Tegra K1. With all these, it sure seems to be doing pretty well on technology part. Additionally, you will appreciate the addition of Android Lollipop that has made its debut on the system. The most interesting aspect is that this version is said to replace Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. The reason being that this tablet is somewhere in-between both the devices. This tablet measures 153.68 x 228.25 x 7.95mm and weighs 425g that makes it portable and lightweight.

What Goes in Its Favor?
If one would go by the competition then looking at the rival Apple, it came out with iPad Air 2 that is thin and stylish. It is the reason why many would compare two devices together before making the final decision about purchasing the device.
The new Nexus tablet is built with a plastic finish body frame that measures 6.1mm, but it is sure still sturdy and robust. Even the plastic thing is strong enough without losing its charm of a premium product. Due to its hard plastic body, you will be able to grip it well. The lunar white color will appeal to you that seems more like a shade of grey. Still better than a white that tends to accumulate dirt and grime.
The back is aluminum finish frame with a brushed feel. This is what that makes it look and feel pleasing. When compared against Nexus 10 you will still find it better. It was back in 2012 that Nexus 10 sported a display of 2560 x 1600 pixels even though it is more than Nexus 9 but still you will appreciate the latter one for its great screen quality.
The 4:3 ratio gives you wider display that makes more space for icons and apps. Those who are fond of reading would love to download e-books and even order a set of magazines. Watching movies will be a different experience with landscape display close to 16:9 ratio. That is somewhat similar to iPad that offers 2048 x 1536 pixels on a screen measuring 8.9 inches. This would be equal to 228 ppi that gives you sharp display.
The display is bright and good from any viewing angle even after the display is not something to swear by. You will still enjoy using it to your benefit. Even with Android 5.0 this device does well with the new Android ecosystem. The apps bundle that you will get includes Chrome and much familiar Google Play music that is an enhanced version.
For these reasons all that can be said about Google Nexus 9 tablet is that it is pretty good. This tablet is priced at $514.12 for 16 GB with Wi-Fi. Considering the features and specifications of this tablet, it seems a very good competitor of Apple iPad. However, users will still find its display not good enough to reject iPad. But you would like it for its smooth finish and plastic body that makes it portable and lightweight.
